Obama Backer George Soros
Michelle Malkin says Obama owes
much of his Chicago political success to financial support from radical,
left-wing billionaire and leading "social entrepreneur" Soros. In
June 2004, Soros threw a big fund-raiser at his New York home for
Obama’s Illinois Senate campaign. Soros and family personally
chipped in $60,000. In April 2007, Obama was back in New York for
a deep-pocketed Manhattan fund-raising soiree, with Soros lurking in his
shadow (yes, that’s him behind Obama grasping onto the stairs).
No doubt with Soros’s approbation (if not advice
from the hands-on “progressive” activist or his advisors), Obama fleshed
out his Social Investment Fund Network plan last December. In
concert with his mandatory volunteerism pitch and $6 billion
anti-poverty plan, Obama called for the creation of a "Social
Entrepreneurship Agency" to dispense the funds in unspecified amounts.
The agency would be a government-supported nonprofit corporation,
"similar to the Corporation for Public Broadcasting," that runs public
television. (And we’ve all seen how fair and balanced that
lib-dominated, Bill Moyers-boosting private-public enterprise turned
out.)
When communist global financier and
socialist philanthropist and
Open Society Institute founder George Soros
hosted 2004 Democratic presidential nominee Sen. John Kerry [D-MA],
Soros invited him to his private retreat in the Hamptons where "buyers
and sellers" can talk without reporters overhearing quid pro quo
conversations that might not be construed as legal to the wrong ears.
When Soros hosted a major fund raiser for unknown Illinois State Senator
Barack Hussein Obama in the fall of 2004, the soiree took place at his
New York home. That evening Soros wasn't buying either a president
or a prospective US Senator. He was simply fishing in a new
political stream. Soros intended to snag the young political fish,
reel him in just a little -- but keep him on the hook, letting him grow
until he was mature enough to fit Soros' plans. And what were his
plans? It appears Soros, who was born on Aug. 12, 1930 in
Budapest, Hungary, would like to be President of the United States.
Of course, because he is not a natural-born American, he has to be
content to be a surrogate president -- the puppet master who pulls the
strings of the man in the Oval Office. Soros wants to be Barack
Obama's Col. Edward Mandell House. House was the change agent for
Thomas Woodrow Wilson and Franklin Delano Roosevelt. He was also
the impetus behind the push by Wilson to form the League of Nations
because House convinced him if he did so, Wilson would become the first
President of the World. And House was also behind FDR's efforts
disguise the global League of Nations into what was to appear to be the
more benign, Americanized United Nations when, in fact, it was merely
the League of Nations in a red, white and blue suit of clothes.
Soros and his family kicked in $60 thousand to help State Sen. Obama
drum former Ambassador Alan Keyes in the 2004 Illinois US Senate race
70% to 30%. (Obama handily won not because he was that good, but
because Keyes, who is much too honest for politics -- particularly
corrupt Illinois politics -- was that bad.) Keyes thought you
could tell the voters the truth in Illinois and get elected to public
office. Obama knows when you are a citizen of the world posing as
an patriotic American, you never tell the voters the truth. You
tell the voters what they expect to hear in order to get their votes.
On April 9, 2007 when Soros publicly decided to back Obama instead
of Hillary Clinton in the race for the Rose Garden, the junior Senator
from Illinois was once again invited to New York for another Manhattan
fund-raiser. This time, it was at the home of financier Steven
Gluckstern who assured Obama he would be able to raise "...well over a
million dollars" for the Senator. But, we're getting ahead of
ourselves
Obama met with Soros in in what appears to be their
first meeting in the philanthropist's mid-town Manhattan office on Dec.
4, 2006. Soros offered his financial support for an Obama bid for
the White House and urged Obama to join the fray before the anticipated
announcement by Sen. Hillary Clinton who had been testing the mood of
the voters since early 2006. After their handshake, Soros took
Obama into a conference room where about a dozen bankers were waiting to
meet him. Among those dignitaries was the US head of Union Bank of
Switzerland (SwissBank), Robert Wolf, and hedge fund manager Orin
Kramer. A week after that meeting, Wolf met Obama for dinner in
Washington, DC to map out a campaign strategy that would put Sen. Barack
Hussein Obama -- America's first Muslim-born, African-American (since he
has dual citizenship) -- in the White House.
Soros knew Hillary
Clinton would make her official announcement shortly after the holidays.
He urged Obama to jump into the race before Clinton in the hope of
snagging media-ordained front-runner status. It is unclear what
caused the rift between the Clintons and Soros, because initially Soros
backed both candidates. Clinton lost much of her big money support
-- including Soros -- as the ballots were being counted in the New
Hampshire primary. The Rockefeller-controlled banking interests
pulled most of their financial support from Clinton and gave it to
Obama. The bank flip-flop included Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley,
Citigroup and JPMorgan Chase (Chase Morgan). Interestingly, those
same banks threw their financial support (in lesser amounts) behind Sen.
John McCain as well. After New Hampshire, the campaign finance
filings of Sen. Obama showed the wealthiest banks and bankers were now
bankrolling him. So, for that matter, were some of the world's
biggest "Washington influence buyers." Most of those dollars
shifted from Clinton to Obama on the eve of New Hampshire -- even though
Obama lost the night. In honest politics, it doesn't happen that
way. Obama was now completely and safely tucked away in the hip
pockets of the globalists who are determined to erase the Bill of Rights
by 2012 and fully implement a socialist world government during Obama's
first term in office because they know, like Jimmy Carter before him, if
they don't succeed, Barack Hussein Obama, who was nominated as the
Democratic standard bearer by acclamation and not by ballot will not get
a second term. The "aye" voice affirmation was done to prevent
disgruntled Hillary Rodham Clinton delegates and wavering super
delegates (who might have second thoughts about backing an inept
communist citizen-of-the-world and Muslim sympathiser) from attempting a
convention coup and nominating Clinton whom the money barons were
convinced could not win in November or, probably, ever.
Hillary
Rodham Clinton, who is now searching for her new role in the political
hierarchy of the left, defied the odds by eking out an almost impossible
39% to 36% victory over the Illinois newbie in New Hampshire, but the
money barons had already decided that Obama would be more capable of
delivering them the prize -- a merged North American Union of nations --
than Clinton, who is probably the most despised and mistrusted woman in
America and whom the already solidified anti-Clinton conservative base
would ferociously resist from the first day as the 44th President of the
United States. So, for that matter, would the members of her own
party who did not like domineering, dictatorial First Lady and
self-proclaimed co-president during the Clinton years.
In early
March, Soros arranged two more fundraisers. One was hosted by
Robert Wolf and the other by Edgar Brofman, Jr. Brofman is one of
the heirs of the Seagram's liquor fortune and head of Warner Music
Company. Following the fundraiser Soros (whose birth name was
Gyorgy Schwartz, and who was born into a Jewish household) wrote an
article in the New York Review of Books in which he lambasted the
conservative America's Israel Public Affairs Committee's denouncement of
Hamas. In the same type of ploy instigated by J.P. Morgan, then
one of the two most hated and feared men in America, when he secretly
backed Thomas Woodrow Wilson and Teddy Roosevelt's Bullmoose Party in
1912 while he was openly contributing money to President William Howard
Taft to tie him to the barons of business and banking. Wilson
declared himself to be the "candidate of change." He painted
himself as being the only candidate who was really "in touch" with the
working class. Does any of this sound familiar?
In order
to distance himself both from Soros and his Muslim birth, and to make it
appear to the public that he was pro-American when Obama is, in fact, as
transnational as the globalists who are filling his campaign war chest
(with millions of dollars that must be repaid to them in quid pro quos
when, by hook or by crook, he wins the White House), Obama denounced
Hamas (after having an emissary assure the Muslim world that he didn't
mean the campaign rhetoric he was spouting) -- and he also rebutted
Soros for his anti-Israeli remarks.
Soros rewarded his lackey
with another major fundraiser, this time at the Greenwich, Connecticut
mansion of hedge fund Tudor Investment Corporation billionaire CEO Paul
Tudor Jones. Three hundred A-list guests were in attendance to
meet Soros' new political protege. And each paid $2,300.00 to
speak with the "citizen of the world." The soiree netted the Obama
Campaign $690,000. Not bad for an evening's worth of liberal
banter and lies.
Is it possible to lay the global financial meltdown, the
radicalizing of the Democratic Party, and America’s moral decline, at
the feet of one man?
It is indeed possible.
If George
Soros isn’t the world’s preeminent "malignant messianic narcissist,"
he’ll do until the real thing comes along. Move over, Hitler, Stalin,
Mao, and Pol Pot. There’s a new kid on the block.
What we have in
Soros, is a multi-billionaire atheist, with skewed moral values, and a
sociopath’s lack of conscience. He considers himself to be a world
class philosopher, despises capitalism, and just loves social
engineering.
Uh oh. Can you say "trouble," boys and girls?
Soros is a real life version of Dr. Evil -- with Obama in the role
of Mini-Me. Which is not as humorous as it might at first sound.
In fact, it’s bone-deep chilling.
Liz Peek says Obama fans are in a tight spot. As the
White House turns ever harsher and more divisive, supporters are
scrambling to explain why Resident Obama sounds so very different from
Campaigner Obama. There are two possible explanations, neither of
which is flattering. The first is that Obama was insincere on the
campaign trail. The second is that his advisors -- David Axelrod
and Rahm Emanuel -- are in control. The latter view is bound to
take hold and it will not boost Obama’s flagging popularity ratings.
Many who voted for Obama feel deceived. When he
said in Florida last year "we cannot afford the same political games and
tactics that are being used to pit us against one another," people
believed him. When he extolled "rejecting fear and division for
unity of purpose," people believed him. When he said on election
night "I will listen to you, especially when we disagree," people
believed him.
Why has Obama left those admirable promises behind?
Why is his administration going after Fox News, the Chamber of Commerce,
insurance executives, AIG management, the drug industry, the Chrysler
bondholders and any and all who oppose his policies?
Many believe
that Obama is being manipulated by his political adviser David Axelrod
and his Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel. The aura of Chicago politics
drifts over the capital like a smog. Ironically, the nasty
assaults may be calculated to offset a growing view that Obama is not
tough enough to stand up to his detractors. He already looks weak
as he "dithers" on Afghanistan, repeatedly blames George Bush for his
problems and kow-tows to foreign leaders while apologizing for our
nation’s past. Surely, though, it will not help Obama if the
country begins to suspect he is not his own man. Being seen as a
follower in his own White House will surely magnify an unhealthy aura of
inconsequence.
Soros Aims To Remake The Financial Order
And The Media
Dan Gainor says that apparently, megalomaniacs
need schedulers.
Just ask George Soros. The left-wing
billionaire is helping fund two major conferences that start on the same
day, in two different locations just a three hours apart by car.
Two liberal events packed into one long weekend. God created the
world in six days. Apparently, Soros, who sees himself as "some
kind of god," needs just a long weekend to start remaking today's world
in his image.
The emphasis of both conferences is a familiar one
to American voters -- change. Soros wants to begin changing the
global economy in one event. In the other, his flunkies want to
"Change the world. Change the media."
Now that is change
you can believe in. Sadly, those who actually report the news must
believe in it because they sure as heck aren’t reporting on Soros or
either event. And that’s even though staffers or even executives
from Reuters, the Financial Times, NPR, PBS, The Washington Post and
other major media outlets are speaking at one event or the other.
The first gathering in Bretton Woods, N.H., is an economic
conference Soros once described as "a grand bargain that rearranges the
entire financial order." In October 2009, Soros committed $50
million to the Institute for New Economic Thinking (INET). A week
later, the glib lefty investor wrote a column calling for a new Bretton
Woods event, to recreate the one that helped design the post-WWII
economy. Only he wants this one to knock America down a peg or
three.
Now, it's been a little over a year later and the group he
funded is making King George’s wish come true -- bringing together a
whole slew of important people to discuss how to change the global
economy. In Soros speak, that means "establish new international
rules" and "reform the currency system."
The announced speakers
include a lot of prominent lefties, globalists and economists on the
board of the organization he has throwing the event -- more than
two-thirds of the overall total have ties to Soros. To underscore
their connection to history, INET is hosting the conference at the Mount
Washington Resort, the very same hotel that held the first gathering.
George Soros Has Financial Ties To Over 30
Major News Organizations
Dan Gainor is reporting that when progressive
investor George Soros gave $1.8 million to National Public Radio, it
became part of the firestorm of controversy that jeopardized NPR’s
federal funding, but that gift only hints at the widespread influence
the controversial billionaire has on the mainstream media. Soros,
who spent $27 million trying to defeat President Bush in 2004, has ties
to more than 30 mainstream news outlets -- including The New York Times,
Washington Post, the Associated Press, NBC and ABC.
Prominent
journalists like ABC’s Christiane Amanpour and former Washington Post
editor and now Vice President Len Downie serve on boards of operations
that take Soros cash. This despite the Society of Professional
Journalists' ethical code stating: "avoid all conflicts real or
perceived."
This information is part of an upcoming report by the
Media Research Centers Business & Media Institute which has been looking
into George Soros and his influence on the media.
The
investigative reporting start-up ProPublica is a prime example.
ProPublica, which recently won its second Pulitzer Prize, initially was
given millions of dollars from the Sandler Foundation to "strengthen the
liberal infrastructure" -- "liberal" being the code word for very
progressive. In 2010, it also received a two-year contribution of
$125,000 each year from the Open Society Foundations. In case you
wonder where that money comes from, the OSF website is
www.soros.org. It is a network
of more than 30 international foundations, mostly funded by Soros, who
has contributed more than $8 billion to those efforts.
The
ProPublica stories are thoroughly researched by top-notch staffers who
used to work at some of the biggest news outlets in the nation, but the
topics are almost laughably left-wing. The site’s proud list of
"Our Investigations" includes attacks on oil companies, gas companies,
the health care industry, for-profit schools and more. More than
100 stories on the latest lefty cause: opposition to drilling for
natural gas by hydraulic fracking. There's another 100 on the
evils of the foreclosure industry.
Throw in a couple
investigations making the military look bad and another about prisoners
at Guantanamo Bay and you have almost the perfect journalism fantasy --
a huge budget, lots of major media partners and a progressive agenda
unconstrained by advertising.
Erin R. Brown
says the Media Research Center's
Dan Gainor has been digging up the dirt on the deep-pocketed lefty media
mogul George Soros' funding of media operations, and Fox News' Bill
O'Reilly invited him on to discuss Gainor's latest piece in which he
says there are "nearly 30 Soros-funded media operations that are part of
the 'War on Fox'."
O'Reilly asked Gainor's opinion on the most important media
operation that Soros funds. "I would say that's probably Think
Progress," Gainor told O'Reilly. "It's part of the Center for
American Progress. It is, the Center for American Progress gets
more than $7 million from Soros, so we didn't even count that among our
numbers." O'Reilly interrupted to confirm that CAP is John
Podesta's organization and Gainor confirmed.
Gainor went on to
answer O'Reilly's questions about Soros buying his way into the media,
specifically by funding Media Matters for America. "Now Media
Matters is a big one, they get Soros' money from a bunch of ya know, a
roundabout way, correct?" O'Reilly asked Gainor. "Yeah they,
Media Matters gets actually not even from a roundabout way, now they get
it directly. Same with Free Press, this group that he funds. That
one of their jobs, is out there to try to get government funding for the
media. So, you know, Free Press is out there trying to get 35
billion dollars in government funding for the media. When that
happens, if that ever can miraculously happen, do you think it would go
to Fox News or any conservative outlet? No, it would go to the
NPRs and the Alternets of the world.
George Soros Admits He's One Of Lenin's
Useful Idiots
Breitbart News is reporting that Obama-sponsor, George
Soros, admits he's one of Lenin's "useful idiots," saying, "I'm a traitoring to
my class."
He also says there's no difference between Romney And
Obama.
