Spitting and drooling on MSNBC's Hardball, Chris Matthews said, "President Obama has his chin out on just about every hot issue out there....  He’s exposed and vulnerable.  His poll numbers are dropping. Is he just too darned intellectual?  Too much the egg head?"

Tingles notwithstanding, where do you suppose Matthews got that notion?

It can't be because of Obama's lofty scholastic achievements.  Not only has he adamantly refused to release his transcripts, he's spent upwards of $2 million, employing every legal trick in the book to hide them.

It can't be because of Obama's scholarly papers.  In the 13 years that Obama taught at the University of Chicago, he never produced a single scholarly paper.

It can't be because of his mythology, "Dreams..."  It's been demonstrated, that after failing to produce a manuscript for 5 years, even with his mother's help, Bill Ayers finally completed what the New York Times described as "...the most evocative, lyrical and candid autobiography written by a future president."

It can't be because of his eloquence.  Obama is verbally helpless without the ever-present TOTUS.

It can't be because of his knowledge of American history.  In this video, Obama references the founding documents as, "principles put to paper more than 20 centuries ago" -- hey, genius, the country is only 233 years old.

It can't be because of his knowledge of geography.  In this video, Obama says, "I've been to 57 States, with one left to go."

So where do you think that Chrissy got the idea that Obama is an intellectual?  It wouldn't be that (D) that follows his name, would it?

I think the two of them are dumber than dirt.
